Summer Time Slump

Have you been enjoying the summer time? Whether you are someone who has kids or someone who does not have a children’s schedule. Summer time schedules can look a little different. There are typically more community events, late nights with friends, neighbors or sporting events. This can be so fun and… about half way through the summer people start to crave a little more structure or routine. While at the same time embracing the summertime flexibility vibe. 


If this is you. Here are a couple of things to try:

  1. Pick an ideal sleep and wake time. 

  2. Develop a sense of routine. Maybe that is we will take one outing a day or maybe that is I will walk 1x a day at my work.

  3. Be flexible NOT rigid. 

 In talking to a friend she is explaining that in mid July her family hits a wall. If you are wanting to have a carefree summer but craving a little more structure, these things could help you have a little structure in your life.  Also when you think about implementing these think of “more days than not” this would be our ideal schedule. It is also good for us to practice flexibility as well!
