Hi! I’m so glad you’re here, considering what therapy could look like for you. It takes courage to do so and it may even feel risky. I hold great respect for the therapy space and the way clients show up to it – I can’t wait to meet you there, however you show up. It’s a privilege to be invited into so many stories, ones that hold deep sorrow, loss, trauma, pain, anxiety, relational distress, overwhelming life stressors, inner turmoil, and more. Life can be incredibly hard and also incredibly beautiful – I would be honored to help you navigate all the space in between.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, this means I look at stories or problems from a systemic, holistic perspective. I expand our focus to broader issues at play, intergenerational influences and patterns, and other external factors. Pain often trickles down through families and maybe you’re the one ready to name it, feel it, and use it? It also means I work with a variety of client systems: individuals, couples, and families in various life stages.
I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy techniques. Both are focused on the meaning we make of ourselves, others, and the world. I’m interested in what’s happening both “within” self and “between” self and other. Relationships, with self or other, can be sources of great pain and also great healing! We will honor the painful places by getting curious about them, gently moving closer to them rather than away, making room to feel them, and ultimately work to repurpose them. My hope is that you experience deep safety and with-ness here, knowing you are not alone as we move through your story and understand it with new meaning and compassion.
This is sacred work and I sit alongside you with profound reverence and attention. My desire is to be a good steward of your time and story – humbly sharing this space with you and/or your partner or family. May this be a space where you feel dignified, even in your vulnerability. If you find yourself wondering, “Can someone meet me or us here, even in this?” The answer is a resounding yes. Schedule a free consultation to see if we are a good fit or to ask any questions!
