The Joy of Replicating Positive Experiences
0:01 Okay so today I want to share with you about this conversation I was having the other day and it was a conversation with a good friend who she used to be a skydiver. 0:15 So she would do many jumps I don't even know all the skydive and terminology but she did that and she enjoyed it and she liked the adrenaline she's now at a phase in her life where skydumpiness not as accessible as it used to be and so I was kind of asking her about it and asking how if she missed it 0:40 or different things like that and then we got to talking about how yes she Thanks for did miss it in ways that she can still get pieces of that experience and it was really standing out to me because she shared that one thing I love to do so much is to drive with the windows down because she said it 1:05 reminds me of when I'm falling through the I think it's called free falling but falling through the air in the the sound was something that reminded her of that positive experience and so that just made me think and get to thinking about how even if Thank you. 1:25 Some things such as skydiving or umm a vacation or something like that is not accessible in the hearing now through our senses are there ways to help replicate some of that joyful peace that we experience during that time maybe it's like I'm thinking of like my grandma's cinnamon rolls or something like 1:54 that that brings back some of those memories or those experiences that were positive or if it's movement that feels good on a way of like running in the cold or something like that that reminds you of something else that you used to do so anyway all of this is to say think about maybe a time in the past 2:20 that there was an event or something that you really enjoyed and bright enjoy and try to think about all five of your senses during that experience and think of today what is piece upon you. 2:36 One of those senses that you could replicate to get a little piece of that joy that you used to experience. 2:43 Have a great day!
